Rhydian Williams is a specialist in Books & Works on Paper at Chiswick Auctions, with particular expertise in traditional prints and their function within illustrated books and publications. Rhydian read History of Art at Wadham College, University of Oxford, before completing a master’s degree at the Courtauld Institute of Art. His postgraduate research focused on British art during the Napoleonic Wars, providing a strong grounding in historical print culture, visual propaganda and book illustration.

Prior to joining Chiswick Auctions, Rhydian worked for Grosvenor Prints, where he gained hands-on experience handling, cataloguing and researching works on paper across a wide range of periods. This background informs a careful and scholarly approach to condition, attribution and market positioning.
