Chiswick Auctions’ first Autographs & Memorabilia sale of 2026 brings together an exceptional group of signed letters, photographs and personal items associated with some of the most influential figures in literature, music, art, politics and modern history. Carefully curated by our specialist department, the sale offers collectors the opportunity to acquire rare material with strong provenance and enduring cultural significance.
Literary history is represented by an important group of letters from C. S. Lewis, offering personal insight into his role as both author and academic. These include correspondence with one of his Oxford undergraduates, reflecting Lewis’s direct and compassionate voice beyond his published work.

Royal history features prominently through signed photographs and correspondence relating to Diana, Princess of Wales, including a presentation photograph signed and inscribed to a personal acquaintance, and additionally signed by Princes William and Harry. Such items remain among the most sought-after in the field of modern royal memorabilia.

The sale also includes material connected to major figures in art, including original sketches by Laura Knight and an autograph letter by M. C. Escher.
Music memorabilia forms a strong component of the sale, with signed material from some of the most celebrated names of the twentieth century. Highlights include a Rolling Stones souvenir programme signed by the original band members, alongside items signed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse, Marc Bolan, and Jimi Hendrix.

Political and historical material includes a signed menu by Winston Churchill, as well as a signed photograph of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and an imperial document signed by Francis II, granting the Order of Maria Theresa to a British officer following the Napoleonic Wars.
Completing the sale is a signed photograph from Star Wars: A New Hope, signed by Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, pre-verified by SWAU Authentication.
