This week we are playing host to three fantastic specialist sales,
the week starts on Tuesday 15th March with Medals and Militaria
followed by Jewellery and Watches which will then be followed by the General sale.
The Punjab sale is taking place on Wednesday 16th March and starts at 1pm. 



The Medals & Militaria sale is taking place on Tuesday 15th March at 11am. Amongst the star lots is Lot 2. WWI Military Cross medal group awarded to WWII casualty Captain J.R. West , Berks Yeo (Berkshire Yeomanry) and later of 5th Battalion Dorset Home Guard; GV Military Cross, 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals and miniatures.

Captain West died as a result of friendly fire as he, along with many, were strafed by an inexperienced Canadian pilot whilst attending a fire power demonstration. Included in this lot are memoriam, coroner deposition and inquisition, card of his former residence, identity card, photograph of him in uniform, copy of the events of the friendly fire incident. Estimate: £2,500 - £3,000

One of the pieces that stands out is lot 468, a gent's c.1960's 18ct rose gold 'Rolex' Oyster Perpetual day-date chronometer wrist watch (1803). Estimate: £5,000 - £6,000.

The fine private library has been the dedication of a Glaswegian-born collector, who has spent the best part of 50 years compiling this fascinating selection of pieces.
