A matched pair of George IV / Victorian sterling silver candlesticks, one Sheffield 1829 by Sansom & Harwood, the other Sheffield 1851 by Creswick & Co

The ornate based of shaped and curved square form with shell C scrolls corners centred with ribbing, interspaced by shell and leaf motifs, the twisting central column with rope work bordered and canthus leaf knop below a wrythen swirl centre leading to a shell scroll square knop below a rocaille and fluted capital. Each with a removable scone of shaped square form with shell corners. Filled with inset iron disc base. Each fully marked to the base edge, the sconces also fully marked both for 1829. (2)
