After the Classical, a marble bust of lady
Late 19th/Early 20th century

Executed in the Italian Neoclassical tradition, the figure is carved with a downcast gaze and textured hair. The stone retains its natural translucency, raised on a tiered polychrome plinth of black and white marble.

Dimensions: 42 cm high the base: 23 cm wide x 19.8 cm deep

Provenance:

Copy of a bust unearthed in Ostia in 1806.
