A very fine silk Kashan design carpet, central Persia

Approx: 318cm. x 204cm. Great example for this type with beautifully drawn design and very good combination. This carpet has full pile, very soft and shiny silk. Very fine weave, approx: 9 x 8 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. In general, this carpet is in very good condition throughout. Seldom found type woven in carpet size. Very attractive and elegant piece.
