After Charles Robinson Sykes - A Rolls-Royce Phantom II or early Rolls-Royce 20-25 HP 'Spirit of Ecstasy' mascot
Solid nickel, inscribed to the base R R Ltd 6-2-11 and Charkes Sykes, with cast marks under wings TRADE MARK REG and REG US PAT. OFF.
In 1929 when the Phantom II was introduced the shape of the base was altered, on all mascots, and the lettering around it changed to R R Ltd 6-2-11.
Height of mascot 12.5 cm.
The mascot was originally fitted to a 1931 Rolls Royce owned by the vendors grandfather Major-General Cecil Martin Fothergill ('Peter') Deakin CB, CBE.
