A stereoscopic monochromatic daguerreotype, plate size 17.3 x8.3cm, in black glass passpartout, with arched aperture, depicting the sculpture 'Vision of the Red Cross Knight', created by Joseph Pitts (active 1830-1870) to illustrate The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser (c.1552-1599).
