A very fine part silk Qum rug, central Persia

Approx: 215cm. x 140cm. Nice example for this type with very elegant floral design and well balanced colours with soft ivory field. This rug has full pile very soft wool quality together with part silk used on field and borders design. Very fine weave, approx: 9 x 9 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with original wide kilim, one with fringes. In general, this rug is in an excellent condition throughout. Attractive and very good furnishing rug.
