A very fine signed part silk Isfahan carpet, central Persia

Approx: 232cm. x 152cm. Very good example for this type with elegant design of polychirme palmettes, scrolling floral and leafy vine with central arabesque and floral double medallion. Colours are very well blended with soft ivory field. This carpet has full pile very soft kurk wool and part silk used on field and borders design. Very fine weave, approx: 9 x 9 knots per sq, cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. In general, this carpet is in very good condition. Attractive and sought after type on the market. Very good furnishing piece. Signature cartouche at one end.
