Arabic manuscripts on paper, comprising two folios of prayers in black ink naskh script grouped within gold cloudbands, in a double paper border, laid on card, mounted, framed and glazed, the folios respectively 7cm x 13.2cm and 9.8cm x 12.8cm, each 29cm x 40.3cm including the frame; a saying in Arabic, 2ll. to the folio, clustered in delicate gold cloudbands, set within gold and black rules, and a blue border, on unpainted paper, signed Muhammad Shafi’ Tabrizi, dated 1215 AH (1800), mounted, framed and glazed, the text panel 6cm x 12cm, 19cm x 26.5cm including the frame; and another folio with Sura Quraysh (106), aya 1-4, 3ll. to the folio, diacritic marks in black, intonation marks in red, within gold cloudbands, gold rosette verse markers, signed by the same calligrapher, Muhammad Shafi’ Tabrizi, dated 1231 AH (1815), within blue and gold rules and a blue border, laid on pale pink card, framed and glazed, 7.5cm x 14.5cm, 18cm x 28cm including the frame.
