An extremely fine part silk Nain rug, central Persia

Approx: 217cm. x 123cm. Great quality and very nice example for this type. Well drawn and detailed design. Apart of very small localiaed area of dot like wear on selvage edge, this rug has full pile, very soft and lustrous wool togehter with part silk on field and border design. Very good colour combination. Extremely fine weave, approx: 10 x 10 knots per sq. cm. Selvages original, slighty curling on selvage edges in few places. Ends with original fringes, secured. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition throughout. Very attractive and sough after type on the market.
