A fine part silk Qum rug with hunting design, central Persia

Approx: 218cm. x 139cm. Very well drawn hunting scene with horsmen, animal figures and flowering trees. Colours are well blended with light-blue field. Apart of slight wear to the pile in one of two small places, this rug has good pile, soft wool and part silk. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 6 knots per sq. cm. Selvages rebound, well blended. Ends with short fringes secured. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition. Attractive piece.
