Attributed Anton Lavinsky 1893-1968, 'Mystery - Bouffe, The North Pole', theatre set design for the play by Vladimir Mayakovsky 1893-1930, watercolour, pen and ink, with pencil, on card, with pencil signature lower right, inscribed verso in Russian 'Stage Design Uniform Production, Artist Ant. Lavinsky No. 2', the following information has been supplied by the Teatralnyy Museum (State Central Theatre Museum): 'Our museum has sketches to 'Mystery - Bouffe' which are not original but artist's copies which were commissioned and purchased from the artist in 1935. The sketch in question could be the original one to the play'. Mounted and framed, 50 x 64cm
