A fine part silk Nain rug, central Persia

Approx: 197cm. x 133cm. Unusual design for this type with bold scrolling and leafy vine around central medallion with bold flowering vase. Nice soft pastel colours. This rug has full pile, soft wool quality together with part silk on field and border design. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 7 knots per sq. cm. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Attractive piece.
