Comprising a Persian manuscript on watermarked European lined paper, the black ink shikasteh nasta’liq text arranged in two columns each with 20ll., the chapter heading in red, the text quoting Qasideh 36 by the Persian poet Anwari (1126 - 1189 AH) in praise of Jalal ud-Din Ahmad, catchwords, set within gold, blue, and black rules, in a cream mount with plastic window, the text panel 21.2cm x 10.3cm, the folio 28.5cm x 18cm; an Arabic manuscript on paper, the chapter heading extracted from an Al-Kashshaaf 'an Haqa'iq at-Tanzil ('The Revealer') manuscript, a 12th-century seminal tafsir written by the Muslim scholar of Iranian descent, Abu al-Qasim Mahmoud bin Omar al-Zamakhshari (d. 1143 AH), meant to provide a valid interpretation to the Qura’n, the heading in bold white ink thuluth script on elaborately illuminated interconnecting circles within a rectangular cartouche framed by a band of golden knotwork, the verso with 15ll. of black naskh script within blue and gold rules, significant words in red, 9.7cm x 21.8cm; together with an Arabic manuscript on paper, with 20ll. of dense maghribi script in dark sepia, red, and blue inks to the page, with blue and red text markers, within blue and red rules, of religious content, mounted, in a double-sided glass frame, the text panel 14cm x 9cm, 29cm x 38cm including the frame.
