Two fine and rare Chinese export armorial soup bowls, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, circa 1745
清乾隆 約1745年 粉彩紋章圖盤 一組兩件

Comprising two shallow soup bowls, each painted to the centre with a cartouche enclosing a castle and European gentleman in a river landscape, with the coat of arms of 'Scott impaling Smith' below, richly painted in gilt, puce, iron-red and coloured enamels, the rim with additional decoration in the form of a stag and lengthy panels with nautical scenes
