A George III sterling silver gilt ‘pocket watch’ vinaigrette, London 1813 by William Ellerby

Circular form with an opposable loop attachment upon a post, engine turned decoration, engraved with initials MC in cursive script. The hinged lid opening to reveal a hinged grill with engine turned, engraved, and pierced decoration of a bouquet of roses within an incurved lozenge. Fully marked to the interior base, lid part-marked, grill unmarked.
