A large Chinese 'dragon' dish and cover, Qing dynasty, Guangxu period
清光緒 粉彩雲龍紋蓋盤 《大清光緒年製》款

The finely potted dish of shallow form with curved sides, decorated to the exterior with dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst ruyi clouds and above crashing waves, the lid similarly decorated, the top knop with a roundel of the shou character, the bowl with double-handles on each side in the shape of elephant trunks, the base bearing a six-character mark of Guangxu
