An antique Sarouk carpet, west Persia

Approx: 355cm. x 277cm. Very good type with nicely drawn overall design of various multicoloured floral sprays and stylised flowering vases. Surrounded by bold palmette, floral and leafy vine between arabesques and plain stripes. Colours are well balanced. Apart of slight localized wear to the top pile in one or two small places, barely visible, this carpet has good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this carpet is in very good usable condition. Very good furnishing size. Attractive.
