The small water pot of gently tapering ovoid form, finely painted with iron-red bats hovering over colourful lotus blooms sprouting from polychrome stems, enclosed within bands of ruyi and petal lappets, the base with a six-character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze-blue

Another from the collection of Mr. And Mrs. Albert Nipon of Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, was included in the exhibition 'Qing Mark and Period Monochromes and Enamelled Wares', S. Marchant & Son, London, 1981, and illustrated in the catalogue, no. 49.
