A George III sterling silver vinaigrette

Of rectangular form with a hinged lid with engine turned decoration to resemble basket weave, the hinged lid, to a simple thumbpiece. The centre with rectangular cartouche with engraved laurel wreath against textured background, reverse also with similar cartouche with engraved rose against textured background. The gilt interior with hinged pierced grill of engraved roses. fully marked to the interior base, part marked on lid and grill.
