Notes:

Known predominantly for seascapes and topographical drawings, Jan Peeters I was a Flemish Baroque artist, widely engraved by contemporary printmakers. (1) He was born in Antwerp and studied with his brothers Bonaventura and Gillis. In 1645, he became a master of Antwerp’s Guild of St Luke.
