A fine part silk Qum rug, central Persia

Approx: 225cm. x 143cm. Unusual design with stylised flowering vases, bold stellar-flowerhead and delicate floral and leafy fine enclosing sandy-yellow floral centrepiece. This rug has full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality togehter with silk used in many parts of the field and border design. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 6 knots per sq. cm. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with very short fringes. In general, this rug is in very good condition. Attractive and very nice furnishing piece.
