Speed (John) Kent with her Cities and Earles Described and observed, first edition county map, before the publisher’s imprint appears lower centre next to the battle scene, the title cartouche in the upper left corner, the royal coat-of-arms and a compass rose in the upper right, with a row of the coats-of-arms of seven earls of Kent in between, inset plans of Canterbury and Rochester in the lower left and right corners, respectively, the former surmounted by a key panel to its streets and places of interest, engraved map with original hand-colouring, 380 x 510 mm (15 x 20 in), Latin text verso with a woodcut initial by William Hall and John Beale, a central vertical fold with a repaired pigment crack lower centre, some handling creases and slight surface dirt, [John Sudbury and George Humble], [1612]
