A George II silver gilt and agate snuff box

Of shaped cartouche form, the sides with engraved decoration of birds and a squirrel within woodland, one side with a small house, lattice work reserves, the rounded underside edge with further bucolic engraved vignettes, repeated to the lid edge, centrally set with banded agate. The base edge with an unclear French control mark.
