A very fine Isfahan rug, central Persia

Approx: 226cm. x 140cm. Classic for this type with bold very well drawn floral design and well balanced colours. This rug has slight localized wear to the pile, visible on closer examination. Otherwise the pile is good, very soft wool quality. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 7 knots per sq.cm. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition despite imperfection. Very good furnishing piece.
