A group of Worcester porcelain, eight tea cups and saucers
First Period and one Flight & Barr period (1751-1804)

The group comprises eight tea cups & saucers, the majority of wrythen form, to include an example handpainted in Queens patern, an example handpainted in gilt and cobalt blue with an armorial crest and monogram in gilt, and another example handpainted with floral sprays, with the majority of the examples marked with a blue crecent First period mark and another marked with incised letter B for Barr.(16)

Dimensions: D largest saucer 15 cm.

Provenance: The Charles Dawson Collection.

Dawson's book, Worcester Flight & Barr Porcelain, tells ‘the remarkable story of the Flight and Barr families, the factory, all the wares, the painters, the customers, and the manufacturing process.’
