A very fine part silk Kashan rug, central Persia

Approx: 204cm. x 136cm. Unusual to find this type woven with part silk in design also with silk foundation. This rug has full pile of soft wool and part silk on the field and borders design. Very good colour combination, pastel appearance. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 7 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Elegant and very good furnishing piece.
