A SYRIAN POLYCHROME-ENAMELLED COPPER COFFEE SET
Ottoman Syria, late 19th - early 20th century
Comprising a coffee pot, six zarf cups, a sugar bowl, and a circular tray, the surface of each vessel decorated with pink, turquoise, dark blue, green and white champlevé enamelling in the form of cusped cartouches and roundels filled with meandering vines, split palmettes, foliage, rosettes, and geometric fretwork bands, the coffee pot 15.7cm high; the zarf cups 4.2cm high; the sugar bowl 9.2cm high; and the tray 35.5cm diam.
