An extremely fine, signed, part silk Isfahan rug, central Persia

Approx: 167cm. x 111cm. Very good type with very well drawn multicoloured floral design and very good colour combination with soft ivory field. This rug has full pile, soft and lustrous wool together with part silk used on field and borders design. Extremely fine weave, approx: 10 x 10 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with shiort kilim and fringes. In general, this rug is in very good condition. Attractive and very good furnihing piece. Signature cartouche at one end.
