Possibly Pforzheim circa 1920
An early 20th century German 800 standard silver and enamel cigarette case

Of rectangular form with a hinged lid to a shaped thumbpiece. The top with circular painted enamel scene of a young couple with a bird nest, against a lattice background of royal blue and white enamel, reserved in white enamel border with stylised flower corners. The sides with royal blue enamel geometric patterns of arches. The underside with engraved scrolling folliage and flowers. Stamped 800 to lid bezel.

Weight - 94 grams / 3 ozt
