Manuscript album titled Architecture Egyptienne, in French, featuring handwritten accounts of Egyptian history and architecture, thoroughly illustrated with colour and black and white postcards and clipped photographs of museum artifacts, monuments and archaeological sites (the Sphynx, the Pyramids of Guza, The Temple of Sethi I, Dendera, Thebes, Karnak, Luxor, etc), also featuring hand-drawn maps of Upper Egypt and the Lybian Desert, and plans of some prominent temples and buildings (the Dendera Temple of Hathor, the Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu, the Temple of Khons in Karnak, the Temple of Amon) and hieroglyphics, occasional yellowing to paper, a few closed tears to pages, pictorial boards featuring hand-drawn hieroglyphics and a scene of the Sphinx at night, handling wear, oblong 4to, early 20th century.
