Bernhard Brodda was a German painter and graphic artist born in Berlin. He studied at the Berlin Kunstgewerbeschule and later at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste under Carl Hofer, eventually becoming a master student of H. Meid at the Prussian Academy of Arts. Initially influenced by structured and constructivist styles, his work evolved after 1948 toward informal and abstract painting. Brodda worked in various media including oil, gouache, tempera, and mixed techniques, creating expressive compositions that were later exhibited and sold at auction. He spent his later years in Bonn, where he continued to develop his artistic vision.
