A George III sterling silver mustard pot, London 1796 by Henry Chawner and John Emes
Of oval form with a reeded C scroll handle leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by an urn finial, all raised by a disc thumbpiece. The body with reeded rims and a pierced band of lunettes and bright cut engraved decoration of leaves, a vacant laurel wreath cartouche to each sided. Fitted with a removable blue glass liner. Fully marked underneath, the lid with lion passant only.
