An unusual Qum carpet, central Persia

Approx: 305cm. x 244cm. Very unusual design for this type, more associated with Caucasian weaving, Seychour. Motifs are well drawn and colours are nicely balanced. This carpet has full pile, soft wool quality. Tight weve, approx: 6 x 5 knots per sq. cm. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this carpet is in very good condition. Very good furnishing piece. Attractive.
