An extremely fine part silk Isfahan carpet, central Persia

Approx:240cm. x 168cm. Beautifully drawn Hunting design with horsmen, various animals and floral motfis. Very good colour combination withh soft beige field. This carpet has full pile, soft kurk wool quality and part silk on field design. Extremely fine weave, approx: 10 x 10 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. In general, this carpet is in very good condition throughout. Very attractive and great furnishing piece.
