AN EALRY 19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE MOUNTED WALNUT BIEDERMEIER MANTEL CLOCK circa 1820, probably Austrian, the case of square form with a concave top surmounted with turned white marble and scrolling gilt bronze finial, supported by a semi-circular support studded with roundels and pierced decoration on a rectangular plinth base with four marble bun feet, the gilt engine turned dial with a white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, the centre with a subsidiary white enamel date dial (hand lacking) with the triple train movement striking the full and quarter hours on a gong, a pull repeater striking on a second gong (pull lacking), pendulum with silk suspension, with pendulum and an associated key, 46cm high, 28cm wide
