A fine George III sterling silver salver

Of shaped circular form, raised upon cast open work rocaille C scroll feet. The cast open work edge with rocaille C scrolls, fruiting vine and cherub head masks. The field engraved with a contemporaneous quartered coat of arms surmounted by a helm with foliate scroll mantling and a crest of a griffin’s head couped. Fully marked to the reverse, the edge with part-marks to the front.
