A rare Chinese biscuit 'double peach' teapot, Qing dynasty, Yongzheng period
清雍正 素胎瓷雕雙桃形茶壺

The finely moulded teapot formed as two conjoined peaches connected at the middle section by a leafy branch forming a handle, one of the peaches with an open reticulated top and the other with a cover with a small knob in the form of a mythical beast, the peaches covered in a 'chicken skin' pattern all over, traces of pigment which are most likely black and red cold-painted European decoration
