A late 18th Century flintlock blunderbuss with bayonet
Issac Barber of Newark circa 1780

The 14 inch three stage brass barrel divided by raised mouldings with cannon muzzle, the top marked Newark, with two proof marks,. Rounded lockplate signed Barber. Brass furniture, full walnut stock with slender, rounded wrist, the ramrod fitted with a horn tip, the gun fitted with a spring loaded flip out triangular bayonet.
