A very fine part silk Nain carpet, Central Persia

Approx: 263cm. x 171cm. Classic for this type with very well drawn floral design and good colour combination. Apart of light toughes of wear to the top pile in one of two small places, barely visible, this carpet has very good pile, very soft wool and part silk used on field and borders design. Very fine weave, approx; 9 x 8 knots per sq. cm. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this carpet is in very good usable condition. Elegant and very good furnishing piece. Popular type at present market.
