A fine Heriz carpet, north-west Persia

Approx: 353cm. x 254cm. Classic for this type with large hooked and stepped double medallion with pendants flanked by linked broad ivory and light blue floral spandres. Surrounded by stylised turtle-palmette border. Colours are well balanced. This carpet has full pile, soft wool. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this carpet is in very good condition. Popular type on the market. Very good furnishing piece.
