12 Bottles of David Léclapart 'Cuvée L'Astre' Blanc de Noirs 2013 Champagne, France David Léclapart is a fourth-generation Champagne house located in the premier cru village of Trépail in the Montagne de Reims. Since the 2000 vintage the estate has been certified biodynamic and David himself biodynamically farms his three hectares of land divided among 20 parcels, guided by the principles of purity, energy, pleasure and ecology. With minimal intervention, David is dedicated to transmitting these individual characteristics into each vintage and each wine; he does not use any reserve wines, and all of his wines are non dosage. This 'Cuvée L'Astre' Blanc de Noirs 2013 (made from 100% Pinot Noir) is almost celebratory with its bright red fruits on the nose and exotic spicy accents. There's a layer of dried-rose perfume, too. The palate's more smokey, savoury and has a wealth of cherry-fruit flavours. It manages to play savoury spices beautifully into pristine lively fruit, combining great balance and finally an energetic finish. Sourced direct from winemaker. In original boxes. Throwing a slight sediment. Lot is subject to VAT on the hammer price.
