An antique Kuba rug, East Caucasus

Approx: 139cm. x 106cm. Very good example for this type with very nicely drawn overall design and very good colour combination with light camel beige field. This rug has slightly corroded black, showing on cord edges in places also on narrow guard stripes with touches one the field in few places. Scattered small old repairs, well blended. Slight wear to the pile, above knot collar. Selvages original. One end with original kilim. Other end with short fringes, slightly fraying. In general, this rug is in good useable condition despite imperfections. Attractive and sought after type on the market.
