Confirmed by direct correspondence with the artist as the original 1968 watercolour for the Readers Digest/AA Book of British Birds published in 1969 - illustrated on page 141. This was one of the first and most successful and highly regarded bird books of all time.

Ray Ching drew almost all of the over 200 main illustrations for this book over a period of just 10 months.
