Of rounded rectangular form with a hinged lid, the front a die struck Charley’s Aunt. Gilt interior. Worn engraved inscription to the reverse reading “from Charley’s Aunt Dec 21^st 1895”.

Fully marked.

These vesta cases were distributed to the audience on the occasion of the play’s third anniversary performance on 21 December 1895. The play by Brandon Thomas, the character played by W.S.Penley.
