A very fine silk Qum rug, central Persia

Approx: 170cm. x 110cm. Unusual design for this type with stylised flowering vases, birds and floral sprays around central floral medallion. Colours are very well blended with light soft beige field. This rug has full pile, shiny silk quality. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Very fine weave, approx: 9 x 8 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. In general, this rug is in very good condition. Popular type. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
