Albumen prints [17], images sizes 8.5 x 10cm (smallest) and 28 x 19cm (largest), pasted down to period album pages, recto, some captioned in an unknown hand in pencil, subjects including family members of Furtado, as well as a large portrait of Furtado herself, Napoleon's home in Vichy, etc. Housed in a folio, brown morocco, gold-stamped border and initials on upper cover [upper cover detached], overall measuring 25 x 38cm. Charlotte Cecile Furtado ((1821-1896, Furtado-Heine) was a French philanthropist. During the war of 1870, Furtado-Heine supported the Red Cross and organized an ambulance service for the repatriation of wounded. Bestowed with the Legion D'Honneur by President of the Republic, Felix Faure.
