A George III sterling silver London and Westminster Light Horse Volunteers Officers Shoulder Belt Plate, London 1803 by Joseph Ash I
The badge of oval form with a beaded rim, cast with a lion grasping the Garter Proper enclosing the ‘GR’ cypher, all above FORWARD, against a texture ground. Belt hook and studs to the reverse, clad with leather. Marked to the front.
